kayti & casen

A few times a year we are lucky enough to capture our friends getting married.

Kayti & Casen both went to college with us. We've known them for a couple of years and we've been looking forward to their wedding for a long time. June 1st finally came around, and it was a beautiful morning. The girls drank champagne and got ready upstairs while the boys played corn hole and goofed off downstairs - everyone was relaxed, having fun, and so, so happy to be there - including us. Kayti's dress was beautiful and she shared a tearful first look with her bridesmaids. The boys were hilarious, and coming up with crazy poses for their groomsmen pictures and we all had a good time. About 30 minutes before the ceremony, a summer storm rolled in.

What was originally supposed to be an outside wedding had to be moved inside, and y'all, Kayti handled it with such grace and happiness. "I just want to get married," she kept saying. On the way home, we talked about that - things are bound to go wrong on your wedding day, but who cares? At the end of the day, you are there to get married.

And get married they did. In front of their loved ones they read their own vows to each other and tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony with the falling rain as their backdrop. And when the storm calmed down, we went outside with them and took some unique and amazing pictures thanks to the storm. We were so happy and lucky to have been there to witness and capture their wedding, and still shocked and unbelievably thankful that we get to call this our job.
